2012 Pre-College Internship & Research Opportunities Program

This program helped to build a path to the atmospheric and related sciences for high school students. Students were teamed with mentors throughout UCAR for a six-week period. The project partnered with the Colorado Math Engineering Science Achievement program, designed to prepare minority and female students to pursue college degrees in mathematics, engineering or science-related fields.  Read more>>

Improving the Communication Skills of NCAR’s Diversified Staff

The objective of this project was to improve the communication skills of NCAR’s diverse staff. This project mainly focused on improving individual communication skills and technical writing for our ESL and native-English staff.

Teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso

During the spring semester of 2013, Shanlin Wang taught a graduate-level course entitled “Energy Use & Climate Change” at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). There were 8 students in the class. Most of these students are first-year graduate students in engineering majors.
