The Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model is a comprehensive numerical model spanning the range of altitude from the Earth's surface to the thermosphere.

WACCM is capable of running with active or specified land, ocean, and ice components. WACCM-X, which extends WACCM to the upper thermosphere and includes processes important to the ionosphere, bridges from weather and climate to space weather and space climate.
