Stephanie Roberts works to support NSF NCAR and UCAR's collaboration and engagement efforts, internally and in our work with our minority-serving institution (MSI) and emerging research institution (ERI) partners. Stephanie holds a master's degree in international development with a focus on education and Latin America and a certificate in humanitarian assistance. She holds a bachelor’s in international studies and Spanish, with a minor in Latin American studies. 

Prior to joining NSF NCAR in 2023, Stephanie worked at the University of Colorado Boulder as assistant director for intercultural engagement, supporting students across communities and fields of study, and advocating for access to mentorship, funding, and wider opportunities for students across their college careers. Stephanie also worked within the University of Denver's Office of International Education for seven years, focused on access to international educational opportunities across departments — including research and internship placements — as well as mindful strategy for mutually beneficial partnerships across the globe.

Before working in higher education, Stephanie held various roles within domestic and international nonprofits, as well as international human rights work. Stephanie is passionate about respectful and reciprocal intercultural engagement, leading towards integrated and nuanced solutions for global realities.
