NSF NCAR

NCAR's advisory committees ensure that NCAR meets its strategic goals and serves the broader community. 

Providing guidance to all the labs and programs as well as the NCAR Directorate, the committees are made up of internal and external experts who care deeply about fulfilling the center's mission.

NCAR Advisory Panel

The NCAR Advisory Panel is composed of leading scientists and users of NCAR facilities and tools. All of its members have a broad view and deep understanding of the field of Earth system science, where it is going, and NCAR's role within the field. The charge to the panel is to provide input on the overall direction and content of the NCAR research and technical program, provide advice on priority core capabilities (center-appropriate imperative functions and activities), and provide advice on the organizational structure of NCAR.
