The visit to the gorgeous​ Red Rocks Amphitheater and Dinosaur Ridge was led by geology professor Alan Lester and UCAR's Valerie Sloan. Alan is a passionate geologist and teacher who has received several university-wide teaching awards and is featured on various science and history shows. He and Val have both taught about the geological history of the Colorado area and were excited to share these special places with workshop attendees.
